Microsoft Releases Business Edition of Popular Mac Office Suite

Microsoft has just announced the release of Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Business Edition. (Hey, we didn’t name it.) This release redefines the product line by eliminating Standard Edition and limiting users to a choice between Home and Student Edition ($149), or Business Edition ($399). For an extra $250 dollars, those who opt the Business edition will recieve training at lynda.com, business templates, exchange and remote desktop support, and SharePoint services support (whatever that is). Honestly, while I am sure there are many users eager for these features, I can imagine many people will be left shaking their heads as they reach towards Home and Student Edition.

Proof once again that Microsoft Not Equal Progress. (Sorry Microsoft fans.)
